Countries Round Two!

Again, students will pick two countries to research. They should find and post information about geography, location, government, currency (money), natural resources, school, family, tourist attractions, history, and food. They are not limited to this information, nor are they required to include every single topic. These are only suggestions.

Alfabeto Posts

Make a "Libro del Alfabeto" on your blog. For each letter of the Spanish alphabet find a word and picture that corresponds with that word. There will be no translations- the picture will be the translation. You will probably want to use the small image option. :)

For example:

A- avión

Internet Exploration

Using the internet, find the answers to the following questions. You may hand in the answers or email them to me. (From Feb. 19)

1. From what language did Spanish originate?
2. What two countries make up the Iberian Peninsula?
3. What is "Latin Vulgar"?
4. Who were the "Bárbaros"?
5. Name 3 Romance languages.
6. Name 2 Germanic languages.
7. Name 2 Arabic words that have been borrowed by Spanish.
8. What are 4 dialects of Spanish spoken in Spain?
9. What is the official language of Mexico?
10. What are the top 2 spoken NATIVE languages in Mexico?
